Helene & Oliver

We are a husband-and-wife team: Oliver, founder of KnitIQ, and Helene, knitting enthusiast with a love for natural fibres.

Together, we created Yarn Food to make specialist care for wool, cashmere and other natural fibres simpler, gentler and more considered.

We believe the things we make and the natural-fibre garments we choose deserve to be cared for properly, not just cleaned, but preserved, conditioned and enjoyed for longer.

That is what Yarn Food is all about: helping you care for the natural fibres you love.

do. We work with scientists to focus in on individual yarn fibres to make the best possible natural care based on a deep understanding of their innermost needs. We love our knits to pieces, which is why we want to extend their life span. We don’t do hand lotion, we don’t make buttons, specialist yarn care is all we do.

… is in our blood. This means
from the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed, making our products better for our customers and coming up with new ideas is all we can think about. We value feedback. We want to learn.
