Three specialist sprays for refreshing, reshaping and spray blocking your natural-fibre wardrobe.

The Yarn Food Assorted Spray Bundle brings together our Wool, Cotton and Sensitive Blocking & Refresher Sprays, giving you a fibre-specific option for animal fibres, plant fibres and fragrance-free care.

Use them to refresh garments between washes, help pieces return to shape after wear, or spray-block handmade items between full wet blocks.

Each fine-mist formula is designed around the needs of different natural fibres:

  • Wool Blocking & Refresher Spray — with lanolin for wool, cashmere, merino and other animal fibres
  • Cotton Blocking & Refresher Spray — with cotton seed oil for cotton, linen, bamboo, hemp and other plant fibres
  • Sensitive Blocking & Refresher Spray — fragrance-free, with aloe vera, for sensitive skin, silk and a wide range of natural fibres
1. WHY YARN FOOD?

ONE BUNDLE, THREE FIBRE-CARE OPTIONS
Natural fibres have different characteristics and care needs. This bundle gives you a specialist spray for animal fibres, plant fibres and fragrance-free natural-fibre care.

REFRESH BETWEEN WASHES
Not every garment needs washing after every wear. A light mist can help freshen and revive natural fibres between washes, reducing unnecessary washing and handling.

WOOL CARE WITH LANOLIN
Our Wool Spray is designed for wool, cashmere, merino, alpaca, mohair, angora and other animal fibres, with added lanolin to help maintain their naturally soft, supple feel.

PLANT-FIBRE CARE WITH COTTON SEED OIL
Our Cotton Spray is designed for cotton, linen, bamboo, hemp and other plant fibres and blends, with cotton seed oil to help maintain their soft, smooth feel.

PURE & SIMPLE SENSITIVE CARE
Our Sensitive Spray is our purest and simplest refresher formula. With no added fragrance or essential oils and enriched with aloe vera, it is designed with sensitive skin in mind and is particularly well suited to silk.

IDEAL FOR SPRAY BLOCKING
Our roots are in knitting, and all three sprays are ideal for reshaping handmade garments between washes — helping pieces that have stretched or relaxed through wear return to their intended shape without repeating a full wet block.

FINE, CONTROLLED MIST
Each spray applies a light, even layer of moisture without saturating the fabric, giving you control over how much product you use.

2. FRAGRANCE

WOOL SPRAY
A soft lavender fragrance for wool and other animal fibres.

COTTON SPRAY
A light, fresh citrus fragrance for cotton and other plant fibres.

SENSITIVE SPRAY
Completely fragrance-free, with no added perfume or essential oils.

3. HOW TO USE

TO REFRESH BETWEEN WASHES

  • Lay the garment flat, or hang it where appropriate.
  • Hold the bottle around 20 cm from the fabric and mist lightly and evenly.
  • Gently reshape the garment with your hands if needed.
  • Allow to air dry completely before wearing or storing.
  • For delicate fibres, particularly silk, test first on an inconspicuous area.

FOR BLOCKING

  • Pin the finished piece to the desired measurements and shape.
  • Mist generously and evenly from approximately 20 cm away.
  • Gently shape the fabric, paying particular attention to edges, stitch definition and areas that need adjustment.
  • Leave until completely dry.

    FAQs

Why does the water look darker after soaking my knit socks?

Please always test your yarns for colourfastness before washing. The natural cleaning agents in the formula will gently remove grime and dirt from your garment, which will be visible in the basin when you remove your item from the water. For very soiled socks, you can repeat the soaking process twice, or until satisfied with the outcome.

CAN I SOAK MY SOCKS FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES?

In most cases it is safe to soak your socks for longer than 20 minutes, however, we always recommend checking the care information of the yarn you’ve used and special requirements.

Can I use YarnFood in the washing machine?

Yes, you can use Yarn Food in the washing machine on a wool or delicate cycle. Add 15 ml, or 9 pumps, either directly into the machine or into the detergent drawer. Your garments will still be cleaned and fed, but some of the nourishment may be washed out in the rinsing process, which is why
the hand-wash and soak option is the preferred method for Yarn Food.
