Complete specialist care for washing, refreshing and reshaping cotton and other plant fibres.
The Yarn Food Cotton Care Kit brings together our 500 ml Cotton Wash, Cotton Blocking & Refresher Spray and drainable, fold-flat hand wash basin — giving you everything you need to care for cotton, linen, bamboo, hemp and other plant fibres and blends.
Use Cotton Wash when your garment needs a full clean. The drainable basin lets you release the wash water while the garment remains supported, helping reduce unnecessary lifting, stretching and handling of wet fibres.
Between washes, reach for the Cotton Blocking & Refresher Spray to freshen plant-fibre garments or help handmade pieces return to shape without repeating a full wet wash.
Both formulas contain cotton seed oil to help condition plant fibres and maintain their naturally soft, smooth feel, with a light, fresh citrus fragrance.
Ideal for handmade pieces, everyday cotton and linen garments, treasured items and anyone who wants a complete fibre-specific plant-care routine.

FAQs
Why does the water look darker after soaking my knit socks?
Please always test your yarns for colourfastness before washing. The natural cleaning agents in the formula will gently remove grime and dirt from your garment, which will be visible in the basin when you remove your item from the water. For very soiled socks, you can repeat the soaking process twice, or until satisfied with the outcome.
CAN I SOAK MY SOCKS FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES?
In most cases it is safe to soak your socks for longer than 20 minutes, however, we always recommend checking the care information of the yarn you’ve used and special requirements.
Can I use YarnFood in the washing machine?
Yes, you can use Yarn Food in the washing machine on a wool or delicate cycle. Add 15 ml, or 9 pumps, either directly into the machine or into the detergent drawer. Your garments will still be cleaned and fed, but some of the nourishment may be washed out in the rinsing process, which is why
the hand-wash and soak option is the preferred method for Yarn Food.
